This is a wonderful bistro style restaurant, proudly boasting its membership to the Scottish Meat Board so quality steaks are assured.
The cuisine is international and the menu changes twice daily, there a choise of intriguing fish dishes such as Pan Fried Halibut and saffron cauliflower, or John Dory with Spiced Fig and Manchego Liguini or just simple Highland Beef accompanied by the sauce of your choice. This is a great place for a bistro lunch if you sit in the bar area. My char-grilled Tuna salad was more than I expected blended with chilli, corriander, lemon and baby corn it was a treat; washed down by a glass of Frascati. I dined here on a Monday and there was a great atmosphere, Bollinger being popped in the corner, only in Edbinburgh I thought. The table next to me were two business men discussing a deal over ‘bangers and mash’ and a bottle of Merlot. While others opted for a hamburger or fish cakes. Great place for quick lunch or the dining room offers excellent views in a relaxed environment.
