In Paris you can visit the Elysee Palace, problem is many hundreds of Parisians also want to sneak and look so arrive early and expect long queues.

Cite de la Musique - Concerts, Museums and galleries
Located in the 'Parc de la Villette' this is where Parisian head for a concert, exhibition or major conference. The program is extensive. The site is also in English and tickets for events can be purchased online.
Gainsbourg: 21 October until 1 March 2009 - a famous French icon the exhibition examines his rise to fame in the pop world and the many personalities of this singer, poet, actor and author. There's even a concert, remembering the man.

Exposition Arts d’Afrique et d’Océanie
This private collection by Barbier-Mueller at the 'Musée Jacquemart-André', is an extensive display of over 100 pieces of Art from Africa, particularly Nigeria. Masks, pendants, totems and sculptures provide an important reference. Paris art dealers boasts regularly about promoting African art ahead of other Europe cities.
